Saint Arnold has confirmed that the next beer in their Divine Reserve series (No. 6) will be a hoppy American barleywine. Brewing began yesterday and this beer should be released in June.
Kick butt! I've had Divine Reserves 4 and 5 and both were great (No. 4 was downright … um, divine). I've really taken a liking to barleywines over the past couple of years. Have you tried Real Ale's Real Heavy yet? It's magnificent.
ATTENTION: Look for Saint Arnold Divine Reserve No. 6 to start arriving at stores on Thursday, June 12 and Friday, June 13, 2008. Only 1,200 cases were brewed, so if you want it, you'll need to either get there on launch day or get on a list with your friendly local store manager.

wasn't DR #1 a barleywine?
Yes. A history of the DRs can be read here: http://www.saintarnold.com/beers/divine.html
And technically, I guess the No. 4 was a Wee Heavy, although i don't know that there was really that much difference from a barleywine.
