AUSTIN - Lee Nichols of the Austin Chronicle profiled the Black Star Co-op Pub & Brewery in a recent piece entitled, "From Beer to Infinity: A gold star for Black Star Co-op."Included in the piece are not only profiles of the founder, Steven Yarak, but also head brewer Jeff Young as well as an explanation of the co-op's operation and descriptions of their planned beers.
Black Star recently announced the acquisition of its future location at Crestview Station, with construction to begin next month.
