Shiner Holiday Cheer

Spoetzl has announced a new winter seasonal beer called Shiner Holiday Cheer. This beer is intended to replace their present seasonal (and award-winning) product Shiner Dunkelweizen, which will be discontinued.

The Shiner Holiday Cheer will also be a dunkelweizen style but with the addition of peach and pecan flavors, reflecting their Texas heritage. It will have an ABV of 5.4% and will be available November through January.

I saw some of this at the local HEB (The Woodlands, TX) and got it because I had not even heard of it. Turns out to be as awesome as I expected upon first seeing it.

Bought a sixpack at the Total Wine in Glendale, Arizona. I'll be back for MORE. This is terrific.

The best seasonal beer on the market. Nice pour color with a handsome, longstanding lace. Low carbonation. Peach flavor is bold but appealing. I'm buying as much as i can to savor. B+

This is a fantastic beer. I also wish I could get this beer year around. It has the right amount of peach/pecan flavor. It's not too heavy or overwhelming. Shiner Holiday Cheer is now mine and my husband's new favorite beer!
