The third annual Fall Beer Festival was held on Saturday at Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth. Sponsored by the adjacent Flying Saucer, the event featured a variety of popular craft beers including Texas brewers, national brewers and imports.
Several cask-conditioned versions of local and other Texas beers were included, as well as Saint Arnold's latest Divine Reserve No. 7. Flying Saucer management estimates attendance at this event to be at least a third larger than the same event last year.
Also present by Flying Saucer invitation was the Arlington homebrew club Knights of the Brown Bottle with literature about homebrewing and live brewing demonstrations right on downtown's Main Street.

I'm glad they moved it back to Saturday this year, which makes it easier for Dallas folds to attend (we can ride the TRE!). Unfortunately it was also the same weekend as GABF, so some of us were in Denver.
This fest has always been held on a Saturday.
Except for last year. I remember because I was really looking forward to riding the TRE over again, like I did the first year. Then they held it on Sunday, and unfortunately the TRE doesn't run on Sunday, so I didn't get to attend.
Sorry, I guess I was wrong about last year. I found an old posting on Beer Advocate that says it was on Oct 6th in 2007, which was a Saturday.
Intentionally or not, this fest is always held on the same day as the Texas/OU game.
